The
History Of Call Of Duty: Pt 1 Call Of Duty
Call
Of Duty is one of the main games that our modded
Xbox One controllers and our modded
PlayStation 4 controllers are designed for. As a result, we
thought we would have a little fun looking back at the origins of the
Call Of Duty series.

The History Of Call Of Duty
|
Call
Of Duty 2003 PC,
NGage, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
The
first Call Of Duty was a very ambitious game. With an American,
British and Soviet campaign it was as close to actually being in
Saving Private Ryan as you could get at the time. Developed by
Infinity Ward, the game was just a huge, huge success and would
eclipse Medal Of Honor as the preferred first person shooter.
The
campaign was not the longest, but the intense multiplayer would more
than make up for it. Released in 2003, Call Of Duty would go on to
win many game of the year awards and at the time, many people were
excited to see what would be next in this series!
The
original Call Of Duty was only released on PC and for some bizarre
reason, a port was also done on the Nokia NGage. It would make the
jump to consoles, but it would not happen until 2009 as part of the
special editions of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The
impact made by this first Call Of Duty game cannot be underestimated.
20 years from now, gamers will look back at what a landmark release
this was in the world of gaming. As popular and well received as it
was, you cannot imagine that the people at Infinity Ward and
Activision ever imaged the series would explode into what it has
become now.
